In August 2025 we updated our Privacy Notice with the following information:
- Updating details of Bank of Ireland UK Registered Address which came into effect from August 2024
- Updates to the categories of personal data collected, providing further clarity on how we use your data
- Inclusion of a specific section on how we use personal data for marketing purposes
- Updates to the wording in relation to international transfers of personal data to account for post-Brexit changes
- Update to how long we retain your data for
While we were making these changes, we also thought it would be a good time to clarify some elements, make some grammatical changes, provide some more examples of how we use your personal information and generally make other sections of the Privacy Notice easier to understand.
Our updated Data Privacy Notice and out Data Privacy Summary is effective from 14 August 2025.
